Description

Basic "LOGO" programming

This LEGO BOOST robot helps you learn the basics of coding by letting you program its movements to draw shapes and letters on a plain sheet of paper. This  can be built using the LEGO BOOST Creative Toolbox 17101.

Its name, "LOGO" comes from the original programming language developed by Seymour Papert et al in 1967 to teach kids programming. Turtle graphics are vector graphics using a relative cursor (the "turtle") that moves on a plane and leaves a trace, thus allowing the user to draw anything. Turtle graphics is a key feature of the LOGO programming language.

Inspired by that, I created this simple robot with LEGO BOOST that can draw anything using a few basic programming blocks: pen up, pen down, move straight, spin in place, make an arc. Play the video to see it in action!
By purchasing the subscription, you will get detailed step-by-step building instructions, and screenshots to program this LEGO BOOST "LOGO" Drawing Robot with the LEGO BOOST app.
