Introducing a colorful LEGO BOOST R2-D2 Droid model! This creation combines the versatility of the LEGO BOOST Creative Toolbox 17101 with the iconic design of the R2-D2 character from the Star Wars universe, resulting in a stunning and functional robot that will make your dreams come true.

My LEGO BOOST R2-D2 Droid model is an original design that was created using only the parts included in the LEGO BOOST Creative Toolbox 17101. LEGO recently discontinued the LEGO BOOST Star Wars Droid Commander set 75253, so I decided to design my own adapted version of R2-D2 using only the parts from the LEGO BOOST 17101 Creative Toolbox.

The robot is fully remote controlled and can be controlled using either the LEGO BOOST Droid Commander App or the LEGO Powered Up App. The functionality of the robot is identical to the R2-D2 design included in the now discontinued LEGO BOOST Star Wars Droid Commander set 75253. This means that your LEGO BOOST R2-D2 Droid model can drive around, switch into standing position, rotate its dome head, and even move its tool!

One of the greatest features of the LEGO BOOST R2-D2 Droid model is that you can program it. While the LEGO Powered Up App does not currently offer programming functionality, I am excited to announce that this feature will be coming soon, thanks to a LEGO official update of the LEGO Powered Up App. This means that you will be able to program your LEGO BOOST R2-D2 Droid model to perform a variety of different actions and movements, making it a truly personalized and customizable robot.
