Driving and steering with a single motor
This Steering Car is built with the parts from the LEGO Education Simple and Powered Machines set #9686. This car features a special differential drive shaft, that allows you to drive it straight or make it steer going backwards. You can control it with the battery box switch, or the infrared Power Functions remote (not included in the LEGO set 9686). By following the first steps of the building instructions you will get a steering car base, on top of which you will later add the car body I designed (or your custom body). Teachers can use this project as an inspiration for their students to make other LEGO cars that can drive and steer with a single motor.
