Chip & Dale

Cool LEGO EV3 Mecha
Chip & Dale are twin LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 mecha. They share the same features, but they are built using two different assortment of LEGO parts; CHIP uses the parts included in the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 core set 45544, while DALE uses just the LEGO parts included in the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 retail set 31313. They can walk and turn thanks to a mechanism inspired to windup toys, thay can swing the head to scan the environment, explore your room, play games, and find objects. They are modular, and swapping the scanner head with the grabbing arms is easy as a snap!
This EV3 mecha can see you!
Pixy-Dale can track objects thanks to the LEGO Pixy Camera, a smart vision sensor developed by Charmed Labs for LEGO MINDSTORMS. The Pixy camera can be easily taught to track different colors and objects . Using the Pixy pan & tilt mechanism, this EV3 mecha will chase objects like a real dog! This version of Dale requires extra parts for the decorative parts of the head, that are not included in the standard LEGO MINDSTORMS sets.

- GoToFreeSpace: the robot scans the environment when it sees an object, and keeps travelling after turning in the direction which is the most free of obstacles;
- Scanner: the robot shows on the screen what it sees, using raytracing.
- Camera: the robot uses the Charmed Labs’ Pixy Camera (not included in the EV3 set) to track colorful objects like a real pet;
