A tea serving EV3 Biped Robot
This EV3 biped robot can walk and turn smoothly. It has a tray on which you can pretend to put a cup full of tea (it’s a LEGO wheel actually). This walking robot was inspired by old clockwork Japanese automata from 17th century, and I designed it back in 2013, using a single LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Education core set 45544.
With this EV3 biped robot, you can experiment with a robot that moves around using legs instead of the usual wheels. The described programs that come with the product show how to make it walk straight forward, and turn in place to the right and to the left. The EV3 Medium Motor is used to make the robot bow its head. This EV3 project is a perfect start for you to create a custom biped robot, that can gesticulate, grab things or fight.
