Prof. Bricks Academy – Starter Course

I designed this course for anyone who wants to learn how to build and program LEGO robots,  from the very basics to advanced skills you can use just for fun, or for international robotics competitions, such as WRO, FLL, or Robocup Jr.

When developing the content for this course, I imagined my student like this:

  • 7 years old or older, and can read simple instructions.
  • Completely new to robotics and programming, without previous experience in the topic.
  • Curious about creating things that can move on their own, react to the environment, or solve real challenges.

This course is also for adults who want learn themselves, or want to help young learners:

  • Hobbyists that like building and programming LEGO robots for fun.
  • Parents/grandparents/tutors who want to support their children in building and programming LEGO robots, to make their screen time effective and valuable.
  • Teachers who need a structured and reliable guide to introduce robotics in their classroom.
  • Coaches who want to prepare their teams for robotics competitions with clear steps, good building habits, and solid programming strategies, without confusion, guesswork, or frustration. Once the team knows the basics, they can move onto the Competition Module.

The course has been designed following core concepts, and to be adapted to any LEGO robotics set that has motors, sensors, and a programmable hub (more details on that later). The examples will be easy to adapt, even if your kit looks a little different.
CURRENTLY, it includes building and programming guides for models based on LEGO SPIKE Prime set 45678.

If you want to design robots that move, process data, and solve problems, this course will guide you step-by-step.

Throughout the course, I will explain case by case why I adopted specific solutions both for robot hardware (its structure and mechanisms) and for its software (the program to make it work),  without spoon-fed content that’s how it is just because “I told you so”. No shortcuts, no missing steps, no overwhelming information — just clear, manageable lessons you can follow to gain confidence.
