Where we’re going we don’t need roads!

The 10-year-old me would have lost his mind over a set like this:

a LEGO DeLorean with a real play feature that instantly switches from driving mode to flying mode.

Sadly, I had to wait 30 years to finally build it myself.

This mod lets the wheels flip instantly from road mode to flight mode, with no disassembly.
I deliberately added as few extra parts as possible, keeping the original Speed Champions chassis and preserving the official design (only one blue tube had to go).

The mechanism is robust and play-tested, the car won’t fall apart like many free mods, with pieces floating around (especially the mudguards posed a real challenge!) It’s been tested with my own kids.
