Here's another biped robot, in the shape of a standing owl.

Details are poor, since I used only RIS 2.0 parts, plus a rotation sensor.

 

 

This is a COG-Shifting biped.

 

It uses 2 motors, a touch sensor & a rotation sensor:

 

Motor A: head oscillating
Motor C: feet turning
Touch sensor: head position

Rotation sensor : legs position

 

 

Walking principle is simple:

 

Bends right

Rotates feet to make a step forward

Bends left

     ...and so on...

 

This biped can change direction on its own footprints and can

turn left or right.

Here you can see the gearings that make legs turn.

The 40z gear on the left is mounted on the rotation sensor.
